Information and Communication Technology (ICT) is a vital tool for all the Scout and Guides Organisations in order to improve the general management of all the working areas, such as operations, membership management system, training, internal and external communication and marketing.
The introduction and integration of ICTs in the Organisations represents huge opportunities, as well as challenges, in the process of transforming and strengthening the Scout and Guide Movements and its respective Organisations and Associations.
These tools provide an efficient way to channel the information about our activities and engage with followers, members, volunteers, including donors, government, the private sector, general public and community partners.
The ICT enables us to deliver services effectively and efficiently, as well as to raise our profiles, keep abreast of current developments and legislation in our field, manage and organize information more easily, accurately monitor our finances, securely maintain our member’s contact details, enable service users to support one another through online communities, save costs and operate more effectively allowing staff to work remotely and flexibly, etc.
Scouts & Guides I/0 is an event that will take place in London on February 9th, 2017, held by the European Scouts and Guides ICT Network, an informal network of the Regional WOSM and WAGGGS organizations.
